SAFAR is an organization established for Scholars from institutions and universities around the globe looking for an international academic research experience on South Asia. Students have opportunities to participate in seminar-workshops and work under the direct supervision of professors. The major areas of research conducted at present are: Rethinking South Asian Studies, Nepal-Bangladesh Memory Studies, Nepali art: Spatiality, Textuality, and Sexuality, Sexual Harassment, Gender and Communication, Art and Festivals, Urban Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Community Studies.

Being a research organization, our objective is to prepare students to understand the nuances of research in the domain of Human Sciences. Students will learn about scientific reasoning, research methods, research designs, and critical comparitivism. In collaboration with Center for Advanced Studies in South Asia (CASSA), It publishes Asian Review of Humanities.
