ABOUT US

SAFAR is an organization established for Scholars from institutions and universities around the globe looking for an international academic research experience on South Asia. Students have opportunities to participate in seminar-workshops and work under the direct supervision of professors.  The major areas of research conducted at present are: Rethinking South Asian Studies, Nepal-Bangladesh Memory StudiesNepali art: Spatiality, Textuality, and SexualitySexual HarassmentGender and CommunicationArt and Festivals, Urban Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Community Studies.

SAFAR offers opportunities to students to become familiar with the academic culture of the region and to investigate their potential in a future research career while enjoying the value of conducting research abroad.

Being a research organization, our objective is to prepare students to understand the nuances of research in the domain of Human Sciences. Students will learn about scientific reasoning, research methods, research designs, and critical comparitivism. In collaboration with Center for Advanced Studies in South Asia (CASSA), It publishes Asian Review of Humanities.
